Each year US News and World Report publishes a list of vehicles to highlight with their Best Cars for the Money Awards. The awards are based on a combination of the average price paid for a vehicle, five-year total cost of ownership data for that vehicle, and the US News Best Car rankings data which consists from the automotive press on a vehicle’s performance, features, and comfort. Reliability data from JD Power and Associates and safety data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are also taken into consideration. Recently the 2013 winners were announced, and we are proud to say both the Buick Verano and Buick Regal took the top spot in their respective categories.
The 2013 Buick Verano was awarded the 2013 Best Upscale Small Car for the Money title. Verano impresses with its standard rearview camera, quiet cabin, well-made interior, and good fuel economy ratings. The Verano Turbo model, a new addition for the 2013 model year, was well liked by reviewers for its four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 250-horsepower.
The Buick Regal was named the 2013 Best Upscale Midsize Car for the Money. This refined sedan offers a standard IntelliLink infotainment system, balanced handling, and a luxurious interior. The 2013 Regal is also an IIHS Top Safety Pick, meaning it scored the highest safety rating possible in all tests perform.
