The 2013 Cadillac ATS is a compact luxury sedan with technology and safety features normally set aside for the race track. Brembo brakes and Magnetic Ride Control suspension add a sports car feel to the safety and efficiency of the ATS. These two advanced handling and stopping technologies could potentially save lives during every day driving on residential roads.
The push of a button transforms the ATS from a luxury sedan to an elite sports car thanks to Magnetic Ride Control technology onboard the 2013 Cadillac ATS with a FE3 Sport Suspension package. Cadillac pioneered the class-exclusive technology behind Magnetic Ride Control. This technology uses sensors to examine the road and make small alterations to help ensure the best possible handling in any condition. Simply put, Magnetic Ride Control helps the ATS to read the road and make changes when needed.
The efficient technology of Brembo brakes sets the ATS among the best in its class for safety on residential roads. These brakes can take the 2013 ATS from 60 miles-per-hour to a complete stop in just 129 feet. At more the 100 pounds lighter than some of its competitors, the ATS’s low curb weight also aids in shorter braking distances.
“Performance, safety and style are the trademarks of all Brembo high-performance brake systems, whether on the road or on the track” stated Dan Sandberg, president and CEO of Brembo North America. “With the Cadillac ATS, we see a perfect example of how Brembo’s advanced technology can be used to substantially improve the safety of what is already a great performance luxury sedan”.
