There’s a lot to think about when you’re preparing for a road trip, and making sure your car is stocked with things you may want or need can fall to the wayside. Follow this list of essential things to bring on a road trip.
Healthy snacks and water are a must. You don’t want to eat a lot of junk or heavy food when you’re on a road trip—it leaves you feeling uncomfortable and can mean extra bathroom stops, which isn’t always possible. Bring baby wipes in case of spills or sticky hands!
Pack a first aid kit in the event of a crash, and make sure your spare tire is inflated and you have a jack and everything you need to replace a flat. Bring a paper map, too, in case your GPS or phone dies.
Always bring audio books! Or mix CDs, or a well-stocked mp3 player. Audio books are nice because you don’t have to switch them out all that often. Utilizing your local library is a great way to get audio books and CDs without breaking the bank—you can also bring along children’s books for your kids.
Don’t forget to get your vehicle detailed before you set out on your summer vacation!
