Every Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac vehicle is offered with convenience features that make your life easier. If you shop on Amazon quite a bit and are concerned about not getting your package, General Motors has done it again. GM recently announced a partnership with Amazon to bring Amazon Key functionality to Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac owners, enabling packages to be delivered direct to their vehicle.
The General Motors-Amazon partnership allows more than seven million owners to have their packages delivered to their Chevy, Buick, or Cadillac. With the Amazon Key App, drivers can allow couriers to deliver a package to a vehicle when it’s parked in a public area, such as a home driveway or work parking lot.
Customers can download the Amazon Key App, then connect their Amazon and OnStar® accounts. Once connected, customers can continue to shop as they normally would, then select “In-Car” as the delivery option. The Amazon Key App will notify owners when a delivery is on its way. They’ll receive another notification once the package has been delivered and the vehicle is relocked.
In-Car Delivery is tied in to Amazon Prime, so members won’t have to pay an extra fee. Those with vehicles from the 2015 model year and up and an active OnStar® account are eligible. If you need a vehicle that will make your life easier, whether it’s getting your packages delivered directly to you or benefitting from the latest safety technologies, check out the inventory at Bill Harris GM.
