Putting Real Drivers, Not Actors, In New Models: The Real Chevrolet Campaign

Looking for real reactions from people, Chevy is starting the new “Real People, Not Actors” campaign. This project seeks to capture people’s reactions to new Chevy models on video, offering the automaker a chance to see what people really think.

Real Chevrolet Campaign - Chevy SonicThe Real Chevrolet Campaign gathered almost 400 videos from non-Chevy owners in the LA area. After being introduced to several new cars and crossovers, Chevy incorporated reactions into a YouTube series. According to Chevy, this is all part of the company’s “Find New Roads” project, highlighting safety features and innovations in the new lineup.

“The goal is to capture the spontaneous reactions of people as they’re exposed to today’s Chevrolet,” said Paul Edwards, US vice president of Chevy marketing. “People are immediately surprised and enthused when they experience our vehicles up close – the designs, technologies, and quality levels far exceed expectations.”

How did people react? For the most part, people were surprised at the incredible luxury found in every model. Some of the most common reactions included in the video series were: “It’s pretty boss,” “It looks kind of dope,” “It’s pretty cool,” “This is the jam,” and more. As you can guess, most people were impressed. Check out the videos and then come in to Bill Harris Auto Center to see the luxury in our Chevrolet models!
