This past Sunday, Bill Harris Auto Center sent a team of 5 to the Third Annual Great Grill-Off Event hosted by the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio, CCHO.
The team, Grill Harris, was comprised of Joshua Atkinson, David Harris, Lil Harris, Scott Harris and Jamie Andrews. As one of ten burger teams, their goal was to make the best mini burgers to serve to guests and earn as many “People’s Choice” votes as possible. Team Grill Harris presented Gus’ Garlic Burger, a name inspired by the Harris family’s lovable Rottweiler Gus. Although they did not win the coveted People’s Choice Award, they were close behind the winners and many people enjoyed the delectable Gus’ Garlic Burger! New Beginnings Counseling took home the Peoples’ Choice Award for their Big Kahuna Burger, which was admittedly quite tasty!
The event was another success for the Christian Children’s Home of Ohio with an attendance of 750 people. The CCHO raised $10,000 that day, and all the proceeds will go towards the CCHO’s ministry to hurting children and families in Ohio.
Bill Harris Auto Center is excited that the event was such a success for the CCHO and that they are able to help more hurting children and families in Ohio because of it. “We are fortunate enough to be able to contribute to this great cause that helps so many families in our area,” said Scott Harris, General Manager of Bill Harris Auto Center. “We had a blast grilling burgers and knew that in the process, we were doing Jesus’ work.”
