With its impressive re-entry into the mid-size truck market, the Chevrolet Colorado is back for 2016 with a new treat for fans: an all-new Duramax turbo-diesel engine.
As if the Chevy Colorado didn’t stand out in its class before, the 2016 model equipped with the available diesel engine will provide 369 lb-ft of torque and carries a trailering rating of up to 7,700 pounds. General Motors boasts the 2.8-liter diesel engine is the “cleanest diesel truck engine ever produced” by the company.
The Duramax turbo-diesel engine is available on the Colorado LT and Z71 Crew Cab trims. Both models are featured in 2WD or 4WD. In addition to its highly efficient engine, the diesel-fueled Colorado also provides a smart diesel exhaust brake system and an exclusive integrated trailer brake controller.
Of course, the model doesn’t stop with exceptional performance. It continues the Colorado’s reputation for comfort, style, and advanced technology.
