Cadillac XT5’s Technology Destined to Impress

Rumors are flying that the 2016 Cadillac XT5, next year’s replacement for Cadillac’s previous crossover SRX, will make an official debut at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. However, that’s just a rumor. We only know one thing for sure, and that is the Cadillac XT5’s technology will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen.

Cadillac XT5The UAW Chairman of the Tennessee branch where the XT5 is being produced and tested, Mike Herron, called the Cadillac XT5 a “computer on wheels,” claiming its safety features and electronics have never been seen before in a vehicle. The process of building it, he says, is so unique that they required a special team with equally unique skills. There is speculation that Cadillac’s semi-autonomous SuperCruise driving technology could be one of the tools in the crossover’s mysterious repertoire, but again, this is unconfirmed.

One other thing is confirmed, however: The XT5’s early 2016 release date. And with so much speculative information making its way around the rumor mill about the Cadillac XT5’s technology, the car is hotly anticipated by potential buyers.
